Social Security Disability Claim Backlogs may be addressed with additional funding

According to the article linked below, a bipartisan group of 43 senators proposes that the social security administration be funded at 10.1 billion, a substantial and significant increase over the current allotment.

It would seem that the ongoing meltdown in the social security disability claim system, particularly as it relates to disability hearing wait times and the numerous newspaper stories spawned as a result may finally have "rippled" out far enough that the matter will dealt with by the agency's funders.
