Dell Struggling and cutting jobs

This is not a good story for anyone who's a fan of Dell. Frankly, in one sense, I don't understand how they could have misstepped so badly, and, yet, on the other hand, I understand it perfectly. Reason: I've had two Dells in the last couple of years and the dvd burners haven't worked right on either one of them.

Here's another story that's somewhat disheartening, mainly for the fact that, with this country's current difficulties, we don't need more heaped onto the plate. However, it is simply a reality of life that the People's Republic has always had long-term aspirations, and plans, with regard to Taiwan. This is probably something we should all consider as we buy our various products at Walmart to save ten percent. Why does Taiwan matter? Because the acquisition of Taiwan by the PRC would push chinese territorial waters out so far that U.S. strategic interests and the independence of allies such as South Korea and Japan might be immediately thrown into question.
