Broadcast News and Steve Bartelstein

This is actually one of the more interesting stories I've read this week and might even serve as a decent template for a movie comedy or the pilot for a sitcom.

News anchor Steve Bartelstein was fired after...sleeping through a newsbreak. When I first read this, I thought "maybe he has some sort of condition". But then I read the rest of the article. Apparently, on several occasions, this tv news anchor has shown up for work after the news had already begun. Considering that local news is aired live and that it generally runs just thirty minutes, it's not too hard to figure out that that would be verboten.

But here's the funniest part and I'll quote directly from the article that's linked below --- "And there was an ugly sexual-harassment suit that was withdrawn."
