Apparently, according to, filing for social security disability or SSI in the state of Tennessee is no easy proposition. Disability Claims in Tennessee seem to be denied more than in any other state. Coincidentally, the individuals who work on SSD and SSI disability claims in Tennessee are among the lowest paid in the nation.

The actual statistics are as follows: In 2003, Tennessee denied 74.3% of all initial applications for disability. 92.1% of all first appeals in Tennessee were likewise denied.
