Filing for Social Security Disability SSI Ohio

As I post the approval and denial rates on disability claims for each individual state, I have to admit I was a little surprised by the numbers for Ohio. They're actually as depressing as some of the southern states. Here goes.

For individuals filing for social security disability or SSI disability in the state of Ohio in a recent year, 71.1% had their disability claim denied. For Ohio residents who choose to appeal, 87.3% had their first appeal denied also (this was actually higher than the national average).
